Tax Amnesty Scheme Delayed | PTI Ministers’ Strong Reservations on High Tax Rates | Proposed Scheme in current State may Fail | Global Tax Consultants %Top Tax Consultants In Lahore Pakistan

On the proposed draft of the upcoming tax amnesty scheme the ministers of the PTI Government objected the high tax rates for whitening the undeclared assets. If such scheme is implemented in current state then it may fail due to no differences with past schemes.

Some cabinet members objected to the 15 per cent tax rate proposed under the scheme and some raised questions about its effectiveness.

Defence Minister Pervez Khattak also opposed the idea, saying the scheme would give no benefit to the government as well as to the people because all such previous schemes had remained useless.

Cabinet meeting on the same issue expected today.
