State Bank of Pakistan Issued Procedures for Encashment / Registration / Investment of Rs 40,000 Prize Bonds | Stoped to Encash / Sale / Purchase With immediate effect | Deadline Given as 31st March 2020 ||
No new prize bond can be now purchased, sold or encashed after 24th June 2019. However the prize bond holders have following options available,
1- conversion to premium prize bonds which will be registered ,
2- replacement with special saving certificates and defence saving certificate
3- encashment at face value ( means not payment of cash against prize bonds but transfer of the amount of prize bonds in the bank account of the holders of bonds.
Such registration can be done from the 16 no of designated filed offices of the state bank of Pakistan and authorised branches of the 6 commercial banks.
