
Meanwhile Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi indicated on Friday that non-disclosure of details and income attributable to Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) in tax returns due on September 30, 2019 will have penal consequences for individuals and entities operating companies covered within the ambit of CFC, particularly those companies operating in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other tax havens. According to a tweet of Shabbar Zaidi here on Friday, “Controlled Foreign Company (CFC) matter is applicable for tax returns due on September 30, 2019. This matter be taken into account in the returns now being filed specially those being companies owned in the UAE and other tax haven countries. Non-disclosure has severe consequences.”
