Dear sir we are an AOP registered having strn band ntn and are active on ATL of fbr. Sir we only supply tyres to government organizations and we purchase it only from General Tyre Pvt Ltd.
My question is, can government organizations deduct 1/5th of sales invoice for supply of tyres even though tyres are mentioned in 3rd schedule of sales tax act 1990? Can govt deduct tax from us other than withholding (4.5%)? Looking forward to your prompt response
Dear Sir,
I Abdul Wahab Siddiqui is running firm as General Order SUpplier & government Contractors in Punjab Region. We are Registered in Sales Tax.
My Question is that, as we have recently supplied some fertilizers to Agriculture department so what will will be ratio of sales tax chargeable?
I am confused among two sitiations. Firstly, Fertilizers are mentioned in this third schedule which indicates that 17% GST is chargeable. However Secondly, Fertilizers are mentioned in Eighth Schedule Table-1 & Rate mentioned there for GST is 2%.
So, which Schedule is to be followed by a General Order Supplier registered in Sales Tax. Your Guideline will be highly appreciated.
Thanx!
Regards!
Abdul Wahab Siddiqui
